And, the Wetzels have important advocates on their side. Women lawmakers hold the majority in the state Senate and rank children's issues a top priority. Sens. Jeanine Long, R-Mill Creek, and Jeralita "Jeri" Costa, D-Marysville, are co-sponsoring a proposal, SB5132, that would require licensed day cares to clearly post violations in their facilities.
